Procurement Officer

ABB Transformers, Bell Block have an upcoming vacancy for a Procurement Officer. In this role the successful applicant will hold responsibility for the full procurement process of a particular category of their manufacturing requirements. This will include sourcing, negotiations, logistics and delivery to factory. As a member of the supply team and portfolio owner the position also involves maintaining KPI charts and quarterly supply savings reports. This is a unique opportunity to take total ownership of a portfolio and to be actively involved in continual improvements, build and maintain supplier relationships and provide the factory with a high level of service. Applicants ideally will have a tertiary qualification relevant to supply chain/procurement with 3- 5 years experience in a procurement role. It is essential to have MRP experience (SAP would be an advantage) along with experience in negotiating with suppliers and inventory control within a manufacturing environment. You will need to possess a sound knowledge of computer software, be able to prioritise work and work to deadlines.
